SF 25 enhanced penalties for driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or controlled substances with a child in the vehicle. A child would be anyone who is under sixteen years of age.

Under SF 25, a driver convicted of driving under the influence with a child passenger will be punished for a first conviction by up to a year in jail. A second or subsequent conviction will lead to imprisonment for up to five years.
