         Wyoming statutes currently provide for a property tax relief program for low-income elderly and disabled citizens.
         The existing program provides property tax refunds in the following amounts for elderly and disabled Wyomingites meeting the following criteria:
Household income more than 120% of the poverty level, but less than or equal to 140%: a 30% refund or $300, whichever is less:
Household income more than 140% of the poverty level, but less than or equal to 160%: a 20% refund, or $200, whichever is less;
Household income more than 160% of the poverty level, but less than or equal to 180%: a 10% refund or $100, whichever is less.

         Refunds are reduced by the dollar amount received by the applicant under the veterans' tax exemption, the homeowner's tax credit, or the property tax deferral program.
         The current property tax relief program expired January 1, 2003. HB 14 extended the expiration to January 1, 2008.
         HB 14 passed the House,58-0, and the Senate,25-5.
         The votes listed below are Third Reading (final passage) votes in the House and Senate.
         A YES vote means the legislator supported extending the property tax relief program for low-income elderly and disabled citizens.
         A NO vote means the legislator did not support extending the property tax relief program.
