2003 General Session
Until now, Wyoming was one of only seven states that still imposed an age cap of 70 years on a person's ability to file an age discrimination suit.          HB 96 removed that age cap and allowed anyone over the age of 40 to file an age discrimination lawsuit.          HB 96 generated no opposition in the House, and passed Third Reading 59-0 with one excused (Rep. Jim Hageman, R, H5).          HB 96 generated no opposition in the Senate, and passed Third Reading 27-0 with three declared conflicts of interest by Senators Dick Erb (R-S24, Gillette), Grant Larson (R-S17, Jackson) and Robert Peck (R-S26, Riverton). | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
