HB 188: Endangering Children and Unborn – Methamphetamine

HB 188 would have classified intentional prenatal exposure to methamphetamine as criminal child endangerment that would lead to a felony conviction punishable by imprisonment up to five years, a fine up to $5,000, or both.

HB 188 died in the House Judiciary Committee, without a recorded vote. The same committee passed a similar bill, HB 68 (on a 5-4 vote), which was then passed by the full House, but died in the Senate without additional votes.
