HB 10: Subdivisions – Requirements
2007 General Session

Sponsor: Joint Corporations, Elections, and Political Subdivisions Interim Committee

HB 10 would have added a provision to existing laws that regulate subdivisions to allow counties to regulate the division of property into parcels that are between 35 and 100 acres in size. Current law does not allow regulation where the subdivision creates parcels that are 35 acres or larger.

HB 10 would have required that applications for subdivision permits include a professional report that identifies ownership and development of minerals on or under the land to be subdivided, and would have required the applicant to notify all owners and lessees of the minerals of the proposed subdivision.

HB 10 was referred to the House Corporations, Elections and Political Subdivisions Committee, where it died without a recorded vote
